Location. The Hotel Del Carmen is located in the centre of Valencia, Spain, 200 metres from the fortified Serranos Towers and 600 metres from the cathedral. There are bus stops in front of the hotel and the distance to Manises Airport is 10 kilometres.

Tucked behind an original fa�ade which blends with neighbouring properties, the five storey Hotel Del Carmen (accessible by lift) offers contemporary facilities in the heart of Valencia's historic district. These include a fitness suite and outdoor terrace with heated spa tub. Safe deposit boxes and currency exchange are available at the 24 hour front desk where multilingual staff can also assist with tours and excursions. Coffee and complimentary newspapers are offered in the lobby. Laundry services can be arranged and parking is available nearby.

Expert Tip. After severe flooding in 1957, the Turia River was diverted away from the city centre. The dry riverbed has been transformed into Turia Gardens, a lush public space with a mix of gardens and playing fields and bicycle paths. There is also an unusual children's playground near the City of Arts & Sciences.

From Valencia Airport (VLC):
Distance to Hotel Del Carmen is 10 kilometres, approximately 15 minutes' drive.

Getting there. Airport buses run every 20 minutes between the airport's departures terminal and Valencia city centre. Single tickets cost 2.50 EUR. Taxis are available outside Arrivals and cost about 20 EUR to the city centre (including an airport supplement). Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Valencia's efficient public transport system includes trams, buses, and an underground metro service. Electric buses run throughout the old city centre, connecting many of the tourist attractions. Valencia's historic city centre is best explored on foot, as many of the narrow streets are pedestrianised. National trains depart from the city centre's Estacion del Norte station, and travel to Madrid, Barcelona, and destinations along the coast.
